I’m excited to share my latest creation—a beautifully illustrated map of Porto, now available on our Shopify store! This project is close to my heart as it reflects not only the city’s iconic landmarks but also my personal journey as a resident of Porto during early 2021.
Porto, with its rich history and vibrant culture, captivated me from the moment I arrived. My days were spent exploring its winding streets, historic neighbourhoods, and stunning architecture. From the picturesque Ribeira district to the architectural marvel of the Dom Luís I Bridge, I sketched these beloved landmarks, capturing their essence through my eyes.
The process began with hand-drawn sketches of key locations that had become significant to me. I meticulously illustrated places like the Livraria Lello, renowned for its breathtaking interior, and São Bento Station, famous for its intricate tile work. The Clerigos Tower, offering panoramic views of the city, also features prominently. Each drawing was then digitised and refined using graphic design software, allowing me to experiment with vibrant colours and compositions to bring the map to life.
This illustrated map is more than a visual representation; it’s a tribute to my time in Porto and the memories I made there. Each detail and stroke of colour tells a story, reflecting my deep connection to the city.
